PA TUITION RELIEF

Getting Involved - What you can do...

It is critical to act quickly to ensure that students attending college for the first time will benefit from the tuition relief when they begin college in fall 2009. The Pennsylvania State Legislature is currently discussing this topic in hearings, budget deliberations and in the media. Key decisions will be made in the next few months. A bill was introduced; committee hearings are taking place for the public to have input; and budget hearings, amendments, and votes will all occur this summer.

It is vitally important for you to provide input into those decisions now by contacting your legislator when he or she is pondering the will of his or her constituents. Do not miss the opportunity to provide input on the key decisions affecting college affordability in Pennsylvania.

There are so many ways for you to get involved and help ensure that the Tuition Relief Act is passed by the PA Legislature.

Resources and information for how to do all of the above and more can be found in the Tuition Relief Act Toolkit.
