MILWAUKEE AIRPORT CLOSES AS TORRENTIAL RAIN FLOODS AIRFIELD
Milwaukee airport closes as torrential rain floods airfield Comments By Ben Mutzabaugh, USA TODAY Milwaukee's General Mitchell International remained closed to flights through noon CT today after a deluge of rain left some of the airport's runways under standing water. More than a half foot of rain fell in the Milwaukee area on Thursday, causing widespread flooding throughout the city.On its website, the airport tied the closure to "flooding on the airfield and roadways leading to the airport," according to Reuters.
