Got iPhone 4 reception and dropped call issues? There’s a case for that. And an app. Apple began its program to give all owners of the iPhone 4 a free case in an attempt to alleviate issues stemming from placement of one of its antennas. The move was announced at an impromptu press conference last Friday. Current owners of the device as well as any prospective buyers up to Sept. 30 can download an app from the iTunes store which, when used on their device, provides step-by-step instructions for securing a free case. Options are available, from Apple’s own bumper case (only available through the program in black) as well as third-party manufacturers like InCase and Belkin. Apple launched the iPhone 4 nearly a month ago on June 24, selling 1.7 million phones over its launch weekend.
