Franklin Township in Somerset County ranked the highest on the list at 34, while nearby Piscataway in Middlesex County came in 57, Wayne in Passaic County ranked 73, and Middletown in Monmouth County ranked 89. Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with a median home price of 0,710 topped the Money Magazine list, which ranked the towns based on jobs, crime, housing prices and quality of life. Money Magazine describes Franklin Township: "Despite being just an hour away from New York City, this 46-square-mile township contains quite a bit of farmland. There are miles of walking trails overlooking green pastures. Recreation opportunities are varied, including cricket fields and skateboard ramps. To qualify, you have to be in good standing, in some cases you have to major in a subject that relates to your work, but more and more let you study what you want.
